Back pain, neck pain & saddle problems

Very common, but underestimated, back pain is one of our main areas of interest.

Just like with human beings, a horse’s back can be the source of many aches and pains, sometimes leading to gait problems, discomfort on exertion, refusal to work and reduced performance.

Sometimes, an inadequate or unsuitable saddle can cause or aggravate back pain.

An accurate diagnosis requires careful examination using medical imaging techniques, as well as a saddle assessment.

To complete our visual examination, we have a pressure-sensor pad to measure the movement of the saddle on the horse.

Treatment involves optimising the saddle and providing a suitable rehabilitation programme, as well as possible additional therapies, such as topical treatments and mesotherapy.
