Cyrille Piccot-Crézollet
Veterinary Surgeon, Diplomate ECVS (European College of Veterinary Surgeons)
Born into a family of horse-breeders and horse-drawn carriage drivers, Dr Piccot studied veterinary medicine in Lyon.
After his internship in equine medicine and surgery in Montreal, he completed his surgery residency in Lyon.
Next, he taught horse surgery at the Alfort Veterinary College, then practised in Sweden.
Since 2008, he has been an ECVS-accredited specialist and now focuses on lameness assessments, pre-purchase consultations and sports medicine.
At an early stage in his studies, he became interested in back problems among horses and completed his thesis on equine back pain .
(Back pain in competition horses: practical management and therapeutic approach – in French).
His free time is also devoted to animals, particularly in finding injured wild animals using a specially trained working dog.
Guillaume Cavé
Veterinary surgeon
With keen horse-riders for parents, it was only natural that he would take up equestrian sports and develop a passion for horse-drawn carriage driving. Dr Cavé studied veterinary sciences in Nantes.
After his internship in equine medicine and surgery in Lyon, he gradually moved closer to his family, located in Switzerland.
As a young driver, he was crowned French carriage-driving champion with a pair of Pottoks in the Clubs Elite Grand Prix in 2012.
Through competition, he became aware of the athletic nature of horses and based his thesis around their athletic performance (Correlation between performance indices and objective gait measures for attached and unattached trotting horses: an experimental study – in French).
An outdoors enthusiast, he currently spends his free time enjoying lakes or mountains.
Anne-Charlotte Fürbacher
Veterinary Surgeon
It was only after a few years performing at the theatre that Anne-Charlotte began her veterinary studies. Her ease of communication probably owes a great deal to this early experience, and in any case, it’s hard to feel uncomfortable with Anne-Charlotte.
A rider from an early age, she immediately devoted her professional life to horses, after defending her thesis on the links between Cushing’s disease and laminitis in older horses, giving her extensive experience in this field.
A keen learner and enthusiast, Anne-Charlotte is currently taking a farriery course, which she started in Australia, to add to her knowledge. She regularly runs EquiJunior training courses all over the world.
Skiing and trail riding are her source of energy for such an active life.
