Alternative medicine for your horse
Traditional Chinese Medicine was founded over 3000 years ago, and is still used worldwide today. It sees the appearance of disease as an imbalance of homeostasis due to external attack, a lack or excess of energy in one of the organs or regions of the body. Diagnosis is based on multiple external clinical signs, diagnostic acupuncture points and the horse’s history. Acupuncture and the use of Chinese herbs can also be recommended to avoid a recurring problem or as support during a period of greater exertion (competition). Chinese medicine offers a more global approach and always seeks to treat the cause of the problem. Acupuncture aims to bring the body’s functioning back into balance in a holistic way.
